St. Elizabeth Thanksgiving Food Drive September 25th – October 4th
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Every year the St. Elizabeth School Community participates in 2-3 food drives to help support the Food Bank through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Once again, we are asking for your generosity in donating non-perishable food items. Any non-perishable food item is accepted and greatly appreciated. Below are some recommendations:
- Canned food
- Pasta (macaroni & cheese, spaghetti, and sidekicks)
- Pasta sauce and canned tomatoes
- Minute rice
- Jam, honey, and peanut butter
- Pancake mix & pancake syrup
- Apple & tomato juice
- Hamburger helper
- Jarred baby food
- Cereal
For each donated item, your child will receive a ballot for a chance to Torture-A-Teacher at an upcoming school assembly. Teacher Tortures include:
- A pie in a teacher’s face
- An egg cracked on a teacher’s head
- A bucket of ice water dumped on a staff member
- Spraying silly string at a teacher
- Face painting the principal
- Feed Mrs. Evans a spoonful of bugs
If you are able to assist, please send your item(s) to school with your child between Monday, September 25th and Wednesday, October 4th.
Thank you,
The Student Leadership Team and St. Elizabeth Staff

ALTAR SERVER TRAINING: Any child in grade 4 or above is invited to become an altar server at St. Mary of the Visitation Parish. We will have a training session for new Altar Servers on Saturday, September 30th at 11 a.m. in the church. One parent is required to attend with their child.
STARTING THIS THURSDAY: What is the meaning of life? Who is Jesus Christ? Why does any of this matter? Big questions require big answers. In The Search, Chris Stefanick and experts from the fields of science, medicine, psychology, art, and religion help you find answers to these pressing questions. The Search will challenge and invite you to consider the Catholic faith’s answers to such questions. The six-week series will run on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in St. Mary’s parish centre starting September 28. Registration is not required. Everyone is welcome.

Good Morning Eagles,
Spirit wear is back again at St. Elizabeth. We have 3 flyers attached. The first flyer is for Kindergarten students where parents can purchase “Kindergarten is a Splash” t-shirts, hoodies, or track pants (we will not be doing the class signatures on the back of the t-shirt or hoodie). The second flyer is for any parent who wishes to purchase St. Elizabeth Spirit wear and the last flyer is for our Grade 8 Grads.
All orders are done online at schooltee.com using the access code SELI.CAM and must be placed no later than September 29th.
