Due to the current and expected weather conditions, all school buses and taxis are cancelled but schools will remain open. Dress warmly, Eagles!
|In 200 a Grade 9 student at a school in Nova Scotia was teased for wearing a pink polo shirt to school. The next day, students at the school all wore pink shirts in solidarity and support for him. Pink Shirt Day is now celebrated as a way to spread kindness and acceptance. On Wednesday, February 26 everyone across the Waterloo Catholic District School Board is encouraged to wear pink to promote a message of inclusion to “lift each other up.” Wear pink tomorrow, Eagles, to show that you take a stand against bullying! Let’s start the beginning of Lent with a message of kindness and inclusion.|
This is a reminder that tomorrow is Pancake Tuesday, and students will be served delicious pancakes in the morning. Since we are an Eco-school, students are encouraged to bring in a plate and fork from home tomorrow. We look forward to our pancake celebration tomorrow, and then to the distribution of ashes on Wednesday, at our Ash Wednesday liturgy.
Although schools are now open on Monday, we will still play games on Wednesday this week as refs were already reassigned.
