The bulletin from the Parish of St. Mary of the Visitation is attached. Please note that all sacraments have been postponed.
Next week is Catholic Education Week, and the theme is Nurturing Hope. As usual, there is a different focus for each day of the week:
Monday, May 3 – Preparing the Earth
Tuesday, May 4 – Sowing Seeds of Gratitude
Wednesday, May 5 – Cultivating Relationships
Thursday, May 6 – Harvesting New Fruit
Friday, May 7 – Marvelling in Wonder
Teachers will be exploring these themes with the students online.
Please read the information below about our extended day program.
Today is the final day for our Domino’s Pizza fundraiser. Why not give yourself a day off from cooking for your hungry, learn-from-home children?
Between 10:30 am and 9:00 pm you can order a large (14″), one-topping pizza online from Domino’s Pizza on 221 Holiday Inn Drive for just $10, and $5 of this will go to support St. Elizabeth School! Remember to use the code CARE for each pizza that you order.
Additional toppings cost $1.75 and include: pepperoni, sausage, bacon, extra chees, olives, peppers, onions, mushrooms, pineapple, tomatoes, and spinach.
Thank you for supporting St. Elizabeth School.
Good morning, Eagles families
As we begin on-line, synchronous learning, here are a few reminders:
The online school day follows the same “bell times” as in-person school. That means that school begins at 9:10 am and ends at 3:40 pm. Recesses and lunchtimes are at the normal school times. Students are expected to remain on-line for the duration of the day.
If your child is going to be late or absent, we ask parents to call the school office (519-651-0400) to let Lisa know. Attendance is taken twice every day, mornings and afternoons.
Synchronous learning does not mean that the teacher is on-screen teaching “live” all day. Synchronous teaching involves some time for a lesson and then asynchronous work for the students with the teacher available for questions from students (either through email or an open link).
Let’s hope that it won’t be too long until we are together in-person again.
Dear Eagles parents
Please read the attached letter from our Director, Loretta Notten, regarding the school building closure after the spring break. We d not know how long the closure will last, but we can expect at least two weeks.
Please note that next Monday, April 19th, teachers will be posting asynchronous work to be done on that day.
Stay safe, everyone!
Please read the attached message from Loretta Notten, our Director of Education
With the recent announcement restricting religious services to 15% capacity, we are unable to celebrate the First Communion Masses as planned. Therefore, these Masses will be cancelled for April and rescheduled for May or June. We will provide you with the new Mass dates as soon as we are able.
Thank you for your understanding.
